Valpro VPCB-38C Description
 
Equipped with a flat, raised marine edge surface, the Valpro VPCB-38C chef base supports countertop equipment while preventing spills from reaching the floor. Its 38-inch width fits compact prep areas, and the 5.14-cubic-foot interior capacity includes two full-extension drawers that hold pans without rails. A digital thermostat with LED display monitors temperatures between 33 and 41 degrees Fahrenheit, maintained by a self-contained, side-mounted capillary tube system using R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Automatic defrost and condensate evaporation minimize maintenance.
The cabinet interior of the Valpro VPCB-38C chef base is constructed with aluminum walls and a rust-resistant 304 stainless steel floor for long-term use and simplified cleaning. Both drawers include removable snap-in magnetic gaskets and glide smoothly on heavy-duty cartridge slides for full extension. Thick-gauge stainless steel on the top, front, sides, and framework adds strength in high-use environments, while foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation retains cold air. This model is mounted on 4-inch casters—two with brakes—for stability and mobility.
